I was recently given the rare opportunity to see a past couple’s wedding album in the flesh. One of my favorite photographers, Amy Anaiz, did an amazing job capturing this wedding and the album was just GORGEOUS. We then gathered around and watched the wedding video. It was an emotional rollercoaster. We all laughed and cried at some point in the video produced by Kiss the Bride Films. We got to see moments we all missed and relive the beautiful day all over again.
Video captures your wedding in a different way than photography. You need pictures. I’m not saying don’t invest in a great wedding photographer. What I am saying is you need both a wedding photographer and wedding videographer. There are some moments that will be captured better in video no matter how good the photographer is. Let me explain!
Dance Floor Shots
Yes you can catch a funny shot of someone doing the worm but would the memory of your uncle doing the worm in motion be better? You can’t capture the swag surf in a picture the way video can.
Reception Entrance
You can not capture the LITUATION of a wedding party entrance with a photo. Your wedding party’s energy will be on a new level. The DJ will have your wedding guests HYPE as they wait for you to make your grand entrance as a married couple. When that moment happens, a picture is worth a thousand words but your wedding video footage will capture all that energy in a way you could not imagine.
Your First Dance
Every photographer gets at least one great shot of this moment but is that enough to capture the moment you dance to the song that will bring you back to that moment every time you hear it?
Down The Aisle Shots
The emotions of walking down the aisle will always be a moment to remember. It’s an epic moment everyone in attendance has been waiting for. Video will capture everyone’s reaction to this special and highly anticipated moment of the day
So Yes! Invest in a Wedding Video. All the cons you heard about getting a wedding video doesn’t exist anymore. Once upon a time, wedding videos were not great but that has changed at least 10 years ago and they have only gotten better. People will tell you, you are not going to watch it. Ask them how often do they look at their wedding photos? I know couples that don’t even take the time to get the album after their wedding but they watch their video and share it with their family and friends all the time.
So don’t listen to them, listen to me lol! In all seriousness, you will never regret having a professional wedding video to accompany your wedding photos that captured all the special moments of your wedding day. Watch this video to see what I mean! This wedding highlight was captured by one of my favorite video teams, Kiss The Bride Films.
