Almost anything you purchase requires you to pay taxes. Most couples know they will pay taxes but you may not have it on top of mind when you are planning your wedding. Every vendor has to charge you taxes on top of their fees. It’s the law.
Delivery fee is a misleading word for weddings. What you are really paying for is installation, setup, breakdown and travel time for your wedding day flowers and rentals. At a minimum, you can expect an additional 20% on top of the cost of services.
It truly takes an army of people to ensure a wedding runs smoothly. Service fees are added by venues to cover their own cost of hiring servers, coat checkers,bathroom attendants and parking attendants. Wedding vendors also may charge service fees to cover the additional costs of staff.
Administrative tasks are phone calls, paper work, coordination, meetings and etc. These task are needed to ensure your wedding goes as smooth as well. Many venues and vendors are adding a fee to cover the hours needed to take care of these task.
I know you might be shaking your head wondering why the extra fees but the truth is, these fees work to your benefit. These additional fees cover the cost of tasks that are required to ensure your wedding runs smoothly and efficiently. It takes a lot more behind the scenes to deliver a Fabulous wedding. The amount of planning that takes place before your wedding is hours of planning, coordination, calls, paper works, meetings and so much more just to make sure your wedding day is PERFECT!
So when you see the extra cost, just know they are there to ensure your wedding vendors will have all they need to show up and show out for your wedding. And I’m saying this from experience. When I meet a vendor and additional services fees are included, on wedding day they have more than enough hands on deck, their team is professional, they are on time and the entire experience leading up to the wedding was superb. The moral of the story is you get what you pay for so don’t be so fast to jump ship when you see these fees.
