All couples follow many wedding vendors for inspiration for their wedding decor but when you see these pictures what you don’t know is the cost of these beautiful pictures. Whatever wedding budget you have in your head, I’m 99% positive it doesn’t match your Pinterest board. I don’t care if your budget is 40k or 100k, your wedding plans cost more than you have planned for.
These photos should be inspiration not aspiration. There is nothing wrong with getting inspiration, that’s what Pinterest is for. Just remember it’s just inspiration!!
When my clients share their Pinterest photos with me, I ask them to show me the specific things they really like. Is it the colors? Is it the candles? Is it the style of the centerpiece? Was there an amazing dance floor? What is about the photo that made you save it to your wedding board? This helps really bring their wedding vision to life because I know exactly what they want for their wedding.
After they share their thoughts with me, and we really get down to what they want, their vision usually costs more than they realize. It’s always shocking but this is why I have this grievance with Pinterest because it is a great tool for inspiration but not information. Well that’s why I am here!! Let me make it simple for you.
The centerpiece pictured below cost $300 for one.
So times that by the number of centerpieces you need.
The centerpiece below cost $125 for one. So times that by the number of centerpieces you need.
Since the average wedding flower design consists of high and low centerpieces, what you have now is the starting cost of your wedding day flowers. Now there are other things to factor in but you have a better idea when you see these pictures.
Just remember, the goal for Pinterest is Inspiration purposes only. Meet with your planner or designer so they can take your inspiration photos and give you the real deal behind the cost of those photos. And, help make it work for your wedding.
