When many of my couples get engaged, the first thing they want to do is schedule their engagement photo session. There is wardrobe planning, scouting locations, hair and makeup scheduled, and a day of shooting. When it’s all done, the photos are amazing but what do you do with those beautiful engagement photos?
Well, I am here to help with some creative ways to use your engagement photos at your wedding and throughout the wedding planning journey.
Custom Welcome Signs
When your guests walk into your wedding venue, a welcome sign with your engagement photos is the perfect way to greet them. Your welcome sign will give your guests a wow moment as they walk into your wedding venue. This welcome sign was a 6-foot portrait of the bride and groom with a welcome sign and floral arrangements to match their wedding decor.
Incorporating your engagement photos into your seating chart makes the basic chart a lot more memorable. Take it up a notch and make it oversized like this one. We took their engagement photos and made them 8 feet tall along with the guests’ table assignments. It was placed in the cocktail hour so it also added some decor.
Save The Dates
The most common use of your engagement photos is to use them to send your save the dates. It gives your wedding guests a little excitement about your upcoming wedding. Many of your guests will keep them as keepsakes as well.
Your Wedding Invitations
If you want a modern and innovative wedding invitation, add your engagement photos to the design. It will be an unexpected element when your friend and family receive their invitation.
These are just a few ways to incorporate your engagement pictures. There are so many creative ways to utilize those beautiful photos. Through the years, I’ve made wedding programs, used them as envelope liners, and even made them into a dance floor.
Don’t let them just sit there in the cloud. You paid good money for those photos and a lot of work will go into making your engagement shoot a success.
