I could write a thesis paper on why a wedding DJ is so important but I won’t bore you with my rants and stories of weddings that were ruined because a couple didn’t listen to me about hiring a professional wedding DJ.
I won’t bore you with that one time the DJ announced the bride and groom separately instead of together like he was supposed to. I also won’t bore you with the other time the DJ didn’t have the right equipment so they had to set up for the ceremony and then move all their equipment to reception….. with no elevator which caused the wedding reception to be delayed.
I definitely won’t bore you with the time a DJ showed up dressed like they were going to the mall and not a wedding. No, I won’t bore you with the horror stories I experienced at weddings when couples didn’t listen to me and hired the DJ I recommended.
I will tell you why hiring a wedding DJ and not just any DJ will make or break your wedding reception.
- Wedding DJs understand the flow of the wedding day. Weddings are not just a party. There are formalities and an order in which things take place. A Wedding DJ knows how to keep your guests informed and entertained at the same time.
- Wedding DJs know how to dress the part. Weddings are a formal occasion and should be treated as such by all wedding vendors. Your wedding DJ and MC will be very present during your wedding reception and seen by all of your wedding guests. A wedding DJ in a stylish suit looks way better than a DJ in jeans and J’s.
- Wedding DJs know how to keep your wedding guests entertained. Wedding receptions are not all night. We have periods during the wedding reception to party. Knowing how to use that time wisely is the key to having a fun and memorable wedding reception.
Hiring the right DJ for your wedding will make or break your wedding day. It doesn’t matter how beautiful your wedding flowers are or how excellent the food is. What your guests will remember is your wedding was boring if you didn’t hire the right wedding DJ. Is that what you really want?
